Building Materials
Suitability of materials are made as the main aim that we study for this subject . We have been introduced to 9 different groups of materials in which they can still be classified for a more specific purpose . WE then study these materials in existing buildings in the way they apply these materials to convey their concept and design .
Project 1
This project allowed us to learn about a few types of materials that we are interested in , in the way it contribute to its design .
Our chosen building was villa savoye that was made mostly using concrete , glass and plaster .WE have learnt that concrete allowed it to have its curvy shape while the glass allowed natural light to enter the whole building .
Project 2
We are required to study more detail about the materials that was used by the building and the way they use it to further enhance our spacial experience that was designed .
